Tonight: 30 Rock

I was so very excited for 30 Rock to be back, but I have to say, I've had better. I've been defending 30 Rock to my office mate at work, but this episode was not so impressive, and not so helpful to my case. It really is a funny show. I swear. Just not this week. Ha. Regardless, here are my laugh out loud moments from the season premiere:

"Welcome to season 4..." Jack Donaghy says at the opening, quickly explaining that Season 4 is the name of a new hip restaurant. I did laugh. But then I felt lame.

The conflict of the episode is Liz's search for a new cast memeber for TGS. It is previously explained that Tracy is out of touch with his roots. In discussion to this idea, Jack explains, "Those 2 don't test well," referring to both Tracy and Jenna. Liz: "Ah, he's burning money again." Shot of Tracy burning money on the street. I laughed.

I found the whole Liz and Pete sneaking around to comedy shows really funny. Just because they had said that they were both really great liars, and then they proceed to be completely awkward and obvious the rest of the episode. When Pete's wife comes in mid-"confession" to their love making, her acceptance to Liz was smile-worthy, but not hilarious. Hm.

And I must not forget mentioning Kenneth. He stages a page strike and gets nothing out of it. Silly. But I did love when he said that he learned that a bonus is something extra from watching game shows. Oh, Kenneth.

I think this week's episode was similar to the pilot of the show 4 years ago, kind of crazy, but kind of underwhelming. Here's to next week, Tina!

Last Night: Glee

Glee is a good time for many reasons, but last night it was because of a slow motion, wind blowing through their hair, song and dance moment in the hallway of the high school.

Gets ya every time.

Semi-spoiler: Gossip Girl

I was just flipping through this week's Entertainment Weekly, and saw [this article.] A threesome on Gossip Girl!? Juicy. Who will it be??

Chuck/Blair/Nate:
I really don't think so. Blair would never go for that.

Chuck/Blair/Josh: Doubtful. But very scandalous. Hm.

Chuck/Blair/Dorota: That's just silly.

Nate/Bree/Carter: Carter wouldn't. The other 2 however...

Serena/Carter/Georgina: Almost too simple to imagine.

Serena/Dan/Blair: No. No. No. No. No.

Vanessa/Dan/Olivia: I don't see Vanessa and Dan's sexual tension finally being confronted with another person there. Do you??

Georgina/Dan/Olivia: Is Olivia that kinky? Maybe.

Rufus/Lily/Mr. Van der Woodsen: Ah.... No!

Too much drama: Too many shows!

I'm soo very behind on my shows!! I attempted to catch up tonight with 90210, back to back Hills, and a double feature of the City. What a blur of twists and turns. Too many jerks. Too many Catfights. Hmm.. if Kristin Cavallari went to West Bev, do you think she'd be friends with Silver, Annie, or Adrianna? Well she'd definitely be all over Teddy, so Adrianna would hate her just as much as Audrina.

But if that were true then Adrianna and Navid could still be together. What a dummy for dumping Navid. Stupid high school girl. I know I've said this so many times already, but 90210 is really good this season. Silver has drama with her mom and sister. Annie's gone bad and is dating the outcast. Pretty cutting edge of her. A year ago, I never would have predicted that one. I missed something with Dixon and his girl. Can someone clue me in? Naomi's drama has taken a backseat to her sister's. Just waiting for her to explode. She's lonely. It's obvious. Who is going to give her something to distract her from the money woes? And wait, where's Ethan??

Maybe he got lost in L.A. and ended up cleaning Speidi's pool. (Seriously, where did he go??) Speaking of Heidi and Spencer, does anyone else love Heidi this season? She's actually standing up to Spencer in a tough wifey sort of way. So much better than when she moped around and let him control her. This is just great. Now Audrina is all mopey though.. even through her constant smile. Cheer up Audrina. You're a cute girl. You can do better.

There isn't much to say about The City, except that Roxy is trouble and Whitney will learn. Oh - that and Olivia is the best character MTV has ever found. Love that snotty girl.

Tonight: Mad Men "Wee Small Hours"

Mad Men is definitely the highlight of my week these days. This week opens with that f'n couch. God, I love that couch. Or at least, what it symbolizes. Betty's point of view. Betty's desires and rebellion. We begin in her fantasy. Scandal from the start.

Don can't sleep so he leaves for work early and of course he conveniently sees the school teacher he previously flirted with running down the street. She couldn't look more provocative.

I'm instantly uncomfortable. A) She's totally asking for it. B) Don and Betty are both eyeing others this week. Except Betty doesn't act upon her desires (as much) as Don does.

The episode ends and I hate Don Draper. Betty didn't cheat. If only she knew!
