I also loved the way this episode skipped around, bits of information in the beginning, slowly revealing the whole story. What a great show. I also appreciate excellent writing. Mad Men has it.
I'm not sure why but I especially loved this scene:
School Teacher: you're all the same, the drinking, the philandering...
Don Draper: do you want me to leave you alone, just say so.
School Teacher: it's hard because this happens a lot.
Don Draper: nothing's happening. we're just talking.
School Teacher: okay.
Don Draper:and where i come from, school teachers especially used to say you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover
School Teacher: so you're different huh?
Don Draper: is that impossible?
School Teacher: you're all wearing the same shirt.
That was a very good episode, like all of them are. I can't get enough. These writers are so clever. The scene between Don and Peggy was really good, too. But Mel, seriously, did I miss your blog about last week's episode? The lawnmower one? That was, in my opinion, one of their best ever.
