This is gonna sound a little crazy...

But I don't think I watch enough TV.

Seriously, there are no shows that I feel like are must-see TV on the night of air.

Mad Men is probably the #1 show on my list right now, but Sunday nights aren't always the easiest, so I'm behind a few episodes. I'll catch up soon, I promise.

You know, the one show I really feel like I want to see every week... honestly, is Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Not just saying that cuz he's the boss. I really look forward to seeing what sort of chaos will stir up on Thursday nights.

So there's that. What else am I missing?? I think I need to hulu Glee since I've heard so many great things. And catch up on my Mad Men.

Tonight: Project Runway "Lights, Camera, Sew!"

I haven't actually remembered to watch Project Runway since it premiered over a month ago. I guess that's what happens when it's not on a channel I regularly watch. (However, years ago, Project Runway was the show that brought me to Bravo. What's changed? Hm.) Lifetime dislike aside, let's try to get into this.

This week's episode is all about movies. Designers chose between Film Noir, Action Adventure, Period Piece, Western, and Science Fiction as their inspirations for their designs. They have to invent a character and the outfit to go with it. And the kicker is, it's a one day challenge. So far, we're set up for a pretty decent competition reality episode. But costumes? Really? This is the completely opposite of fashion forward! Where's Chris March when we need him?

Irina Shabayeva - Film Noir. hot model. decent dress. overall look was good.

Carol Hanna Whitfield - Action Adventure... super hero slut?

Shirin Askari - Western.. just pretty much western.

Christopher Straub - period piece... i like this one... fashion forward -- creative story too

Nicolas Putvinski - sci-fi, white dress, ice villian or something. eh. -- evil queen. got a well done.

Althea Harper - film noir... -- damn. they ripped her a new one. boring. cheap.

Ra'Mon Lawrence - sci-fi... green metallic... reminds me of the cross dressing challenge.... eh... the judges let him down easy

Louise Black - film noir... as she said, not as show stopping... ready to wear

Epperson - western.. pretty intense and shows strength.

Gordana Gehlhausen - period piece.. super cute.. right on mark. -- but not bringing anything new.

Logan Neitzel - action adventure.... of the future? not tight enough!

News News News: Fly Girls

CW will have a reality docu-series ready for mid season... "The eight 30m episodes will follow a group of female flight attendants working for new airline company Virgin America." Apparently the girls all live in L.A. and we'll get to see them traveling to the airline's destination cities (Vegas, NYC, South Beach) and balancing their personal lives as well. The Hills meets the sky?

Speaking of which... the City returns soon. Whitney Port was on Regis & Kelly this morning. I've got it on my TiVo for later. Love that girl.

Tonight: Modern Family, Cougar Town, Eastwick

I wanted to give tonight's ABC line up a chance tonight. They had a few new shows premiering, each with their own idea. My favorite of the three was Eastwick. Something about witch stories has always been somewhat intriguing.

Modern Family

Immediately upon hearing the title of this show I think about television families in general, and the fact that the title of this show begs to be different. So as they introduced each couple and their children, I was automatically comparing them to The Brady Bunch, or back even further, The Andy Griffith Show, or Leave it to Beaver. Early, early TV shows from the 50s were very traditional families: husband, wife, kids, dog. The Brady's introduced a re-married couple. And while Modern Family is not the first show to showcase a gay relationship, I'm having trouble thinking of any that actually show a gay marriage. I only wish they weren't so uneasy with their acceptance, but I suppose a lot of ABC viewers aren't going to be as open minded, so maybe jokes are the easy way out on that subject. Either way, Mitchell and Cameron are great. The other 2 couples are a husband and wife - the husband being "too cool" and using terms like LOL and Keep it Real, and leaving the serious talks up to the wife. Then the third couple is an older man and a younger, Latina wife. So there we get an interracial relationship. It's all a non-traditional approach to a family oriented sitcom. We can relate to the day to day, and appreciate the characters for not being cookie-cutter citizens of society. This is a pretty decent show for parents to watch with the older kids and be able to laugh about the things we all go through, like bringing home that first boyfriend and that "keep this door open" moment.

Cougar Town

This show started out with fat pinching and skin jiggling. Courtney Cox plays a somewhat angry divorcee of 5 months, and a horny one at that. She of course lives across the street from a 40-something single guy who brings home younger girls. And this is how we are introduced to her mission to find a young guy for herself. I wasn't too into the body image stuff throughout the episode. Perhaps I'm not old enough to relate. But man, the boy she brought home was a major hottie. Yup. I'm not old enough for this show.

Eastwick

I had no idea what Eastwick was about prior to hitting play tonight, nor had I heard of the books it is based on, The Witches of Eastwick, but I don't think being familiar with the books is necessary. So far, all we've come across are magic coins in a wishing well, ants that attack, super natural powers, and a new, rich guy in town, Raymond, who seems too good to be true. Eastwick is a small town with its' eclectic set of characters, and the three main characters that we meet, Joanna, Roxie, and Kat, are very different, but also all without a real connection in their life. (One woman is married, but to an asshole and by the end of the pilot they've agreed on a divorce.) Due to the passion and control these women are lacking in their lives, Raymond is definitely getting their attention. But crazy things keep happening as well. So no one is sure whether or not to trust him.

I'm pretty sure this show is filmed on the old Gilmore Girls lot... I feel like I'm in Stars Hollow as I'm watching. And the fact that the characters are all a bit quirky and small town adds to the Stars Hollow reminiscence. If you miss Charmed, and you enjoy Desperate Housewives, you'll probably love this show. I'm intrigued. To be continued next week.

Tonight: ANTM "Make Me Tall"

I've really come around on this season. I was really rather annoyed at the idea of using "regular" girls instead of actual tall girls, but I'm beginning to love these ladies. They have drama, but just enough. It's not too over the top. And the challenges are a step up this time around, because it is more competitive to become a shorter model.

This week they had to walk down the runway with girls who were much taller. It was a bit awkward, but a great challenge because it made them pull their competitive girl edge out and actually try. I feel like in past seasons I'm watching girls who can't model walk down a runway, and the judges end up picking the best of the worst walks. But with this challenge it was very apparent that the girls were trying to keep up with the taller girls and prove themselves. Yup. I was proud of them.

I'm ready for a really great photo shoot next week. Last week's was really fun - horses and long hair. But besides that one the shoots have been a little dull.

I'm really bummed about who went home this week. , I do like a lot of the girls, however, so I suppose I'll still be entertained. I think I have decided that my new favorite is Laura. She's a country bumpkin with a major accent, but she takes gorgeous pictures. Hopefully she doesn't go home next week.
